This is a very charming hotel, nice atmosphere, excellent breakfast, very good service, in the middle of the Old Town, Gamla Stan. An ideal place to explore Stockholm. I liked all the old, antiques objects, furniture elements, carpets, all over the property, an 17-th century building. I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.

I loved my single room at Rica Hotel! I loved the blue & white wall paper, the wool carpet, the crystal lamp, the moldings on the ceiling, the red velvet curtains!!! The room was cosy and romantic, which was a nice surprise. I also loved the location in the Gamla Stan, which I expected to be good. The breakfast was good.

    I liked the location best.

Whilst staying in Stockholm I had a small accident, I found the staff lacking in knowledge about medical assistance and also no supplies at the hotel to treat myself. I had to go to hospital, but found the staff pretty unhelpful in assisting me.

Amazing, very nice hotel in Gamla Stan (Old City of Stockholm). Very comfortable rooms, nice atmosphere, very delicious breakfast. Our room was rather big, cozy and stylish. (Bathroom was small but clean, and there was enough place to put conveniently all stuff for bath). On the 4th floor there is an exit to a small terrace on the roof. There are tea-coffee facilities in the lobby. Just few steps from Metro, and it is very easy to get to any place in Stockholm.

Rica Hotel is in a lovely old building in the heart of the old town perfectly located for sightseeing and evenings out. The staff were most helpful and polite and rooms were small but very comfortable and clean. The breakfast included was the most generous spread I have ever see, all excellent quality and even had vitamins if you required them!
    Negative:
There was nothing I could criticise about Rica Hotel other than the rooms are a little on the small side but this is more than compensated by the fact that the building is quaint and in the very centre of the old town.

This is a beautiful, old hotel, with authentic wooden floors and antiques. It is lovely to look at. The breakfast, which is included, is phenomenal; I don’t think you could possibly ask for a better breakfast, and the fact it’s included in the price is much appreciated, since the hotel is not inexpensive to stay at (I paid more for this hotel per day than I did for a centrally-located 3-4 star hotel in Paris two weeks ago!).
    Negative:
For the price, which was pretty steep (something like $200 us a day) I thought the room left a lot to be desired. The bed was good, the decorations were very pretty. However, the room is one of theirs that looks over an unlovely alley in what turns out to be Gamla Stan’s noisier areas, where there are quite a few bars that go until at least one A.M. in the tourist season. The noise was impossible to ignore from the 2nd floor, and since it was warmer than usual, closing the windows could not be replaced by air conditioning, because Sweden doesn’t think of itself as warm enough to have much in the way of air conditioning—something that’s going to have to change, in my estimation. Then, the bathroom was laughably tiny, considering the size of the room, which was a good size. You could sit on the toilet and wash your hands in the oversize sink, which has its advantages, I suppose, if you like to multitask. Aside from that, it’s a good room, the price is too high, the location is right inside Gamla Stan, which I thought, at first, would be ideal, and then later regretted being that close to the nighttime action. I had no idea Gamla Stan was so popular with young people. I love Gamla Stan; absolutely love it, but next time, will stay somewhere less centrally located and walk more.
